Red Thread
Red Thread is a piece I created to explore the relationship between two dancers, using the concept of a red thread as a metaphor for connection, tension, and interdependence. The choreography examines how two bodies can inhabit, shape, and respond to shared space, articulating the push and pull of proximity, reach, and separation. Every movement highlights the dancers’ awareness of one another, creating a visual and emotional line that links them across the stage. Through carefully nuanced gestures, shifts in weight, and spatial dynamics, the piece transforms ordinary movement into an expressive dialogue, showing how connection can be felt as much as seen. Red Thread will debut in the Margo Jones Theatre with Texas Woman’s University for a student-choreographed show, inviting the audience to witness the subtle interplay of connection, individuality, and relational tension.
