Configure was an experimental performance built around a continuous, hour-long configuration score presented at the Greater Denton Arts Council. A configuration score is a structured improvisational system that prioritizes spatial relationships, shifting formations, and real-time compositional decision-making rather than fixed choreography. Throughout the performance, movement emerged from evolving proximity, directional changes, and the ongoing reorganization of bodies within the space.
Caroline performed the duration of the score with one partner, sustaining physical awareness, responsiveness, and compositional clarity for the full hour. Presented in a gallery-style environment, the work emphasized endurance, presence, and the visible architecture of movement as it unfolded in real time, inviting audiences to witness process as performance.
